Sea Life Aquarium and Shopping at Great Lakes Crossing

Arrive for check-in no later than 9:45 a.m.; return to The War Memorial by 5:00 p.m.

$32 per person (Includes bus transportation and aquarium entry; patron responsible for purchasing own lunch)

Encounter a vast array of sea creatures including sharks, rays and tropical fish and admire over 20 displays, 5,000 sea creatures and 250 species in a highly themed, immersive setting. Learn how you can make the oceans a better place through educational displays. After we visit the aquarium, patrons can visit Great Lakes Crossing for shopping and enjoy lunch at the place of their choosing.


Holocaust Memorial Center and Lunch at Sweet Lorraine's in Southfield

The Holocaust is a history of not only evil — although the evil is undeniable — but also of great courage, strength and righteousness. The Holocaust Memorial Center Zekelman Family Campus has been teaching about the Holocaust and its legacy for more than 25 years. Please join us for a docent‐led tour and a presentation by a Holocaust survivor. We will enjoy a fabulous lunch at Sweet Lorraine's in Southfield before heading to the museum.


Zehnder's 23rd Annual Ragtime Festival

Zehnder's has been host to ragtime performers from around the United States and Canada for over 22 years. Come and enjoy ragtime music by our featured pianist, Bob Milne, and other world-renowned musicians. After the show, we will have time to visit Frankenmuth.


GM Renaissance Center Tour and River Walk

Due to construction at the GM Renaissance Center, this trip has been postponed until summer or early fall.

A trip to Detroit is not complete without visiting one of Michigan's most iconic landmarks — the GM Renaissance Center Tour. We will tour this beautiful building and learn the rich history it and General Motors shares with our city. Patrons will eat lunch at a restaurant of their choice inside the Renaissance Center. After lunch, we will take a stroll down the scenic Riverwalk.

Looking for a great way to get out during the week? Love to shop or grab lunch with a friend, but don't want to deal with driving or parking? These trips — offered through SOC — are perfect for you. Please note that reservations for the following should be made through SOC.
