Join us for a two-hour narrated Diamond Jack's Detroit River tour. Passengers of all ages are invited to treat their senses to an awe-inspiring, narrated river tour. Lunch at Pegasus in Greektown.

Detroit Zoo Senior Day

Senior citizens 62 and older and a caregiver residing in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties are invited to enjoy a special day at the Detroit Zoo, including free admission and parking. Senior Day features live music, tram tours, bingo, zookeeper talks and a senior resource area.

$19 per person (Includes bus transpotation. Lunch is on your own; various options are available at the zoo.)


Belle Isle

The Belle Isle Aquarium was designed by famed Detroit architect, Albert Kahn, and opened on August 18, 1904. It is the oldest aquarium in the country and has served the Detroit community as a beloved attraction for generations. The Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory is the oldest continually-running conservatory in the United States. Join us as a docent-led tour of these historic gems of Detroit. If there is time, we will also visit the Belle Isle Nature Center. Please pack a snack or bag lunch and we will have a picnic on the island!

A playground clash between 11-year old boys throws together two sets of parents for a meeting to resolve the dispute; a civilized get-together that turns swiftly and hilariously into a battle pitting couple against couple, husbands against wives, spouse against spouse. The Arab American National Museum, opened in 2005, is the first and only museum in the U.S. devoted to Arab American history and culture. The AANM collects, documents and preserves objects that help illustrate the Arab American experience. This is a docent led tour. The museum provides us with a traditional middle eastern lunch. On the way home, we will visit the Shatila Bakery, voted #1 middle eastern bakery in 2016, to purchase delightful treats.

Pewabic Tour and Hands-On Workshop

Since 1903, Pewabic, a National Historic Landmark, artisans have handcrafted ceramic art beginning with raw, earthen materials and a clay mixer dating to the early 1900's. The hands-on workshop makes it possible for people of all ages and skill levels to explore their creativity through ceramics. After touring the pottery, your group will head to our Education Studio, where you'll learn the basics of tile making. We provide the clay and basic supplies you will need. We will have lunch at the City Kitchen in Grosse Pointe.
