Zehnder's has been host to ragtime performers from around the United States and Canada for over 22 years. Come and enjoy ragtime music by our featured pianist, Bob Milne, and other world-renowned musicians. After the show, we will have time to visit Frankenmuth.

GM Renaissance Center Tour and River Walk

Due to construction at the GM Renaissance Center, this trip has been postponed until summer or early fall.

A trip to Detroit is not complete without visiting one of Michigan's most iconic landmarks — the GM Renaissance Center Tour. We will tour this beautiful building and learn the rich history it and General Motors shares with our city. Patrons will eat lunch at a restaurant of their choice inside the Renaissance Center. After lunch, we will take a stroll down the scenic Riverwalk.

Looking for a great way to get out during the week? Love to shop or grab lunch with a friend, but don't want to deal with driving or parking? These trips — offered through SOC — are perfect for you. Please note that reservations for the following should be made through SOC.

The Air Zoo

From rare and historic aircraft to inspiring artwork and exhibits, there's always something new to discover at the Air Zoo. The Dare to Dream exhibit explains the history of Guadalcanal and the heroes of Michigan aviation. With more than 50 diverse aircraft on display, you can walk through history from a replica of the first Wright Flyer, to World War II era fighters and bombers, all the way up to the modern and one-of-a-kind SR-71B Blackbird - the fastest plane ever built. At the Air Zoo, you'll be surrounded by awe-inspiring land painted artwork from floor to ceiling and wall to wall! Don't miss this great experience to celebrate and learn about air and space flight.

WTVS Detroit Public Television is the viewer-supported PBS member station serving the nation's 11th largest television market. DPTV is the only public television station in the Detroit market and Michigan's most watched public station, regularly viewed by some 1.5 million people in southeast Michigan each week. Enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the station and watch a taping of a popular show. We will enjoy lunch at Volare Ristorante in downtown Wixom.

A destination marrying world-renowned sculpture and horticultural landscapes, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park's indoor and outdoor gardens and sculpture galleries hold something for the whole family to enjoy. A landmark exhibition features internationally renowned artist and activist Ai Weiwei Ai Weiwei at Meijer GardensNatural State is his first show in the upper Midwest as well as the first of its kind for the artist at a botanical garden or sculpture park. Ai Weiwei has emerged as one of the definitive cultural voices of the 21st century. This will be a self-guided trip. Trip is co-sponsored with The Grosse Pointe Garden Center.

They ended up making rock 'n' roll history. Million Dollar Quartet is the Tony Award winning hit musical inspired by the legendary 1956 recording session at Sun Records in Memphis. History was made when an extraordinary twist of fate brought together then-rising stay Johnny Cash, unknown Jerry Lee Lewis, veteran musician Carol Perkins, and chart-topper Elvis Presley for the first and only time. Senior citizens 62 and older and a caregiver residing in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties are invited to enjoy a special day at the Detroit Zoo, including free admission and parking. Senior Day features live music, tram tours, bingo, zookeeper talks and a senior resource area.

Belle Isle

The Belle Isle Aquarium was designed by famed Detroit architect, Albert Kahn, and opened on August 18, 1904. It is the oldest aquarium in the country and has served the Detroit community as a beloved attraction for generations. The Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory is the oldest continually-running conservatory in the United States. Join us as a docent-led tour of these historic gems of Detroit. If there is time, we will also visit the Belle Isle Nature Center. Please pack a snack or bag lunch and we will have a picnic on the island!
