The ceremony will honor high school seniors from Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland counties who have enlisted in the Armed Services and will begin their military training after graduation.

The Enlistee Recognition Ceremony begins at 7pm and is open to the public. Officers and senior enlisted personnel, along with representatives from veteran’s organizations from throughout Michigan will be in attendance to honor these young people from the tri-county area in a beautiful ceremony set against the backdrop of Lake St. Clair. Speakers include Major General Clark W. LeMasters, Jr. and Colonel (Retired) Mary “Crickett” LeMasters.

All are encouraged to attend this free, public event.

A private reception in The War Memorial’s lakefront ballroom for the military enlistees and their guests precedes the Recognition Ceremony at 6pm. During the reception, enlistees and their families will enjoy a Military Family Resource Fair with organizations that support our military families and veterans.

Join us and help us recognize these students’ commitment to serve our nation!
