The War Memorial Ski Hi Club

Open to students in Grades 6–10 who reside in Grosse Pointe or attend Grosse Pointe schools, The War Memorial Ski Hi Club is a great way to learn to ski/snowboard or improve your skills. Lessons are conducted by Pine Knob’s Ski School instructors utilizing their patch program. The trips are supervised by a Ski Hi Coordinator with parent chaperones.

Membership

Parent and student are must come in person to The War Memorial to sign up. Please bring a 2-inch photo and health insurance card. Once you are a member, you will have access to sign up for trips online. Call 313.332.4074 or 313.332.4056 for information.

The Ski Hi Club Membership Fee is $37. Membership is required to attend trips.

Equipment Rental

When renting equipment, a parent/guardian must complete and sign this form prior to child's participation in the program. Bring this form to the first trip attended and turn in to the Pine Knob rental office.

Snowboards, skis and helmets are available for rent. Purchase on the trip registration page.

Friday Night Trips

Weekly trips on Friday nights to Pine Knob occur January 6th through March 3rd. 
Depart at 4:30 p.m.; Return at 11:30 p.m.

Grosse Pointe Driving School – Segment I

Students must be 14-years, 8-months old to enroll. Segment I provides 24 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of driving.
The driving time may extend beyond the class dates.

Self Defense for Children

The safety of our children will depend on their ability to recognize a threat and respond effectively. These fun, interactive and age appropriate workshops teach essential, lifesaving information about the threats facing our children, strategies for prevention and real world techniques designed to reduce their risk of abductions, assaults and other forms of violence. But most of all, these programs teach students that they have the right to be safe, that no one has the right to hurt them and that their life is worth protecting.
