A lecture series celebrating the past and present of Detroit
Polishing up the tarnished city that was once called “the Paris of the Midwest” is the theme for a lecture series to be held at: 2 p.m. on select Sunday afternoons; January—May Christ Church Grosse Pointe, 61 Grosse Pointe Blvd., Grosse Pointe Farms
Jefferson East CEO Josh Elling will have updates on completed projects and future plans for the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood. Of particular interest will be proposals for the Vanity Ballroom. Both the Vanity Ballroom and the Grande Ballroom are on Preservation Detroit’s list of endangered buildings.
