Reports to: Banquet Manager

Schedule: Days, Evenings, Weekends

Status: Hourly – Non-exempt

Job Summary

Work as a team to provide exemplary customer service to guests attending special and social events.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures for reporting availability to the Banquet Manager to ensure proper and regular scheduling. Schedules and hours are based on number and size of events.

• Adhere to established dress code/appearance/cleanliness expectations.

• Follow established procedures for punching in and out, arriving on time and call ins.

• Follow established procedures for serving food and beverage to guests. Participate in, adhere to, and keep current with TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures).

• Ensure that assigned station is properly set, regularly cleared of dirty dishware and glassware, spills cleaned immediately. Attention to detail is essential.

• Notify Team Leader of any issues of concern regarding overall food/beverage service and/or behavior of guests, other staff.

• Keep walkways/hallways neat and free of tripping, slipping hazards.

• Participate in identification and implementation of process improvement and cost savings measures, while ensuring high quality services

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Previous banquet or restaurant experience preferred, TIPS training a plus

• Flexible schedule, reliability, and access to internet to ensure ongoing communication regarding schedules, notices, etc.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have a sense of urgency, be able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on exemplary customer service.

• Frequent lifting required up to 30 lbs.

• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending required
