Venturing into abstract and non-representational art with Marcia Hales
What is the difference between abstract and non-representational art?
Abstract art is inspired by something seen.
Non-representational art is inspired by something felt.
In this workshop we will explore both and the techniques used in each to add expression to artwork with an emphasis on concept, composition, color and personal style.
The options are open. You may fully embrace a move to non-representation/abstract work. Or you may just want to alter your realistic work to add emotion.
Be ready to develop your personal approach.
Bring the materials you are accustomed to painting with. If you usually work on an easel, we have floor and tabletop easels available.
