Designed for those new to oil painting, this course will guide you step by step through the essentials: color theory, composition, layout, materials and tools.

Students should bring a high-quality photo or image of a landscape they would like to recreate in oil. This can be a favorite vacation spot, a local scene or an inspiring image from nature.

By the end of the class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to create a beautiful landscape painting and the foundation to continue your artistic journey. Bring your creativity, enthusiasm and a landscape image that resonates with you!

Paints, canvases, solvent and brushes will be provided.

Students should bring a writing tool and a notebook.
