Cupid’s Corner
Join us for the next installment of our new Second Saturdays Series at the War Memorial! We’ve got a fun Saturday morning line-up for kids and their families. Each program is just $10 per child (adults are free and so is the coffee!).
Doors open at 9am, with all activities set up station style, and the onstage performance scheduled for 10:00am. Details on activities below.
Heart Bracelet
Kids will decorate beads and then string them to create a fun, easily removable bracelet to take home or gift!
Storytime with Princess Rapunzel
Princess Rapunzel will be leading Storytime this time! Sessions in the Community Room at 9:20 and 9:40am. Available for photos as well.
Onstage Show - Pirates & Princess Puppet Show
The Pirate and the Princess puppet show is an interactive, fun-filled adventure with a cast of colorful puppet characters. The audience is invited to join in the fun and help the puppets solve a mystery. With a feel-good ending everyone will be smiling! Takes place at 10:00am.
Valentine’s Painting
Kids will learn a fun watercolor lifting technique from War Memorial Art Instructor Elizabeth Gauthier while creating a fun take home painting.

Donut Sculpture
Join Creative Nature for this fun sculpting activity! Colorful donuts made from model magic, real candy sprinkles, glitter, glue, and crayola markers!

For our littlest attendees or siblings that might not be quite ready for all the crafting fun, we’ll have coloring to occupy them!
About our Second Saturdays Series
The second Saturday of each month, join us for crafts, activities, games, an onstage performance and more family-friendly fun! These themed monthly events are designed to provide a preview of some of the classes, camps and other experiences we host at the War Memorial throughout the year. Meet some of our instructors and learn more about programs offered at the War Memorial before you commit to a whole session. Plus there’s free coffee for parents, and an indoor place for the kids to run around and burn some energy during those long Michigan Winter weekends. Each session just $10, or get all six sessions for $50. See you there!
