Converging the Magic of Disney, Broadway, and the Art of Storytelling:
Disney’s Broadway Hits at the Royal Albert Hall

For over 25 years, the Walt Disney Company has delighted theatrical audiences with stage adaptations of their animated showstoppers (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Frozen, for example), as well as original productions never before seen on film (such as Elton John’s Aida and King David from composer Alan Menken). Throughout each, Disney’s mastery of storytelling and artistry, a keen attention to technical magic, and an unwavering commitment to diversity shines brightly.

This musical extravaganza features songs from best-loved Tony® and Academy Award®-winning scores including Beauty and the Beast, Aida, The Lion King, Aladdin, Mary Poppins, Tarzan® and Frozen. A memorable musical showcase, this concert celebrates the exceptional talent of some of today’s greatest composers and lyricists, including Alan Menken; Elton John; Tim Rice; Phil Collins; Kristin Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez; as well as Richard and Robert Sherman.

“We must fix civics education to protect American democracy.”
—Orrin Hatch

In a signed piece appearing in USA Today before recent events at the US Capitol, retired U.S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) makes a strong case for returning Civics to the school curriculum wherever it has been eliminated and doing a better job of educating students for responsible citizenship in all our schools. In the view of Senator Hatch, “…we are doing younger Americans a tremendous disservice by failing to give them the civic education they deserve. In effect, we are handing them the keys to the car without giving them driving lessons, putting our nation on the road to democratic ruin.” The Senator, however, believes that it is not too late and that focused reinvestment in civic education can and will help protect American democracy.
