9/11 Service of Remembrance planned at The War Memorial
GROSSE POINTE FARMS — Join with family, friends, and community members as The War Memorial commemorates the 21st anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. This will be a moment where people of all religions, cultures, and walks of life can come together in solemn remembrance of and solidarity against the hatred that fueled those tragic events in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and indeed the entire United States and world.
When: Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at 4 p.m.
What: 9/11 Service of Remembrance
Where: The War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236
Why: The event aims to bring together individuals of all religions, cultures, and walks of life to stand against the hatred that led to the 9/11 attacks, and also facilitate a spirit of unity, faith, and holistic patriotism. The service will include the reading of the names of Michigan lives lost on 9/11.
