CAF Rise Above Exhibit
Running June 5th - 8th
Sharing the Story of the Tuskegee Airmen and the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP)
Through the support of local community sponsors and volunteers, The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) RISE ABOVE educational outreach program is proud to announce that their unique tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASPs (Women Air Force Service Pilots), is coming to The War Memorial June 5-8, 2024 and will be offered FREE to local schools, groups, families an individuals interested in coming to see it!
The fully functional mobile movie theater features two compelling original short RISE ABOVE films that tell the stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), as well as, the obstacles they overcame to be able to fly and fight for their country during World War II.
The films inspire children and adults alike, to reach beyond their grasp to attain new levels of achievement, just like these pilots did through six guiding principles:
Aim High
Believe in Yourself
Use Your Brain
Never Quit
Be Ready To Go
Expect to Win
This immersive experience is housed in a climate controlled 53’ semi-trailer with expandable sides and equipped with a ramp and hydraulic lift to ensure access to all, comfortably accommodating 30-40 visitors for each showing. Because of its dynamic 160-degree panoramic screen, the film creates the feeling of being in the cockpit soaring above the clouds. Admission to the exhibit is always FREE to event attendees.
RESERVATIONS are ENCOURAGED due to the limited seating of the theater and the times available for viewing. Make your reservation through the scheduler below.
