A lecture series celebrating the past and present of Detroit
Polishing up the tarnished city that was once called “the Paris of the Midwest” is the theme for a lecture series to be held at:
2 p.m. on select Sunday afternoons; January—May
Christ Church Grosse Pointe, 61 Grosse Pointe Blvd., Grosse Pointe Farms
Founder Lisa Stolarski will introduce the Antique Touring Company which provides tours of historic Detroit in Antique Model A Fords since 2018. The company operates out of the historic Ford Piquette plant, chauffeuring guests through Detroit’s historic neighborhoods, while pointing out the highlights such as homes built by Albert Kahn, who became one of the nation's most noted industrial architects.
