Hands On Gilding Workshop

Sneak Peek into the Historic Alger House Renovation

Hands-On Gilding Workshop

Join us Wednesday March 19th for a short presentation followed by a hands-on workshop as we continue a behind the scenes look at our renovation of the historic Alger House Library.

This month's event will focus on gilding, specifically the metallic leaves and how they have been used historically in interior decoration.  Following a brief lecture led by Anthony Kartsonas of Historic Surfaces LLC, attendees will participate in a hands-on workshop where they will receive their own rosette to gild and take home with them. Attendees are also welcome to bring a personal item to gild.  The item should have a primer or regular coat of paint already applied in order to be eligible for gilding.

Registration is limited and required. Secure your spot by registering at the link above. All event proceeds support the Historic House Fund.
