Detroit Pistons championship exhibit now open

Relive the championship days of the Detroit Pistons with a new exhibit at the Detroit Historical Society.

Opening last month and on display through June 23, Thirty-Five | 20 celebrates the determination and triumph of the “Detroit Bad Boys” and the “Goin’ to Work” Pistons teams. Separated by 15 years, these two championship squads shared a pleasure in mucking up the league’s pretty offenses, and fans were thrilled by their hustle. This dual anniversary exhibition highlights how each team was assembled and how they developed their signature styles of play.

The exhibit is on the second level in the City of Champions Gallery at the Detroit Historical Society, located at 5401 Woodward Ave. in Detroit.

Listen up! Pair of listening sessions planned at The War Memorial

The War Memorial is embarking on a comprehensive and strategic planning initiative to chart our long-term trajectory, and we would like your valuable input!

Two listening sessions are planned in February- one for veterans on Feb. 12, and one for the community on Feb. 13. The first community listening session was held Jan. 31.

Your insights and experiences at the War Memorial are crucial as we collectively shape the organization's future to better fulfill our mission and serve the community. We are limiting registration to a group of 25 participants per session, who will be rewarded with a gift certificate, entitling them to one complimentary admission to an upcoming War Memorial event or program.
