‘Welcome to Detroit’ with the GPAA
Feb. 26 is the deadline to submit entries for an upcoming art show with the Grosse Pointe Artists Association.
The show’s theme is “Welcome to Detroit.” The inspiration behind it came from Conde Nast Traveler naming Detroit one of the best cities to visit in 2024. The association is asking artists to share some of their favorite things about the Motor City.
The juror will be Executive Director of the Detroit Artists Market Miah Davis. Davis has devoted her career to nurturing artists in the city. The first place award is $300 or a solo show in the GPAA guest gallery; second place is $150; third place is $75; and there will be two honorable mentions.
Artwork drop-off is March 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. The show runs from March 14 to May 2.
