Come to The War Memorial for Cr8tive Circles exhibition

Through May 2, The War Memorial and the Grosse Pointe Artists Association are honored to present Soulful Stitches: 21 Quilts/21 Stories featuring the work of members of the Cr8tive Circles.

The mission of Cr8tive Circles is to cultivate a diverse and dynamic community of mixed media artists who share a passion for creativity and self expression. The group strives to promote and provide an inclusive and supportive environment where members can explore, learn and experiment with a wide range of artistic disciplines.

Members of Cr8tive Circle will be in the Patriot Gallery from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday, April 25, to talk about the stories that inspired their quilts.

Blue Delta, popular Air Force Academy Ensemble, to play at The War Memorial

A free concert with an ensemble of the United States Air Force Academy Band is set at The War Memorial.

The United States Air Force Academy Band ensemble Blue Delta is performing a free concert in the ballroom of the Fred M. Alger Center at The War Memorial on Sunday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Blue Delta is the commercial, popular music ensemble of the United States Air Force Academy Band. These full time, active-duty bandsmen are committed to enhancing community relations, instilling the Air Force core values of integrity, service and excellence in the nation’s youth, and more. The mission of the Colorado-based Blue Delta also includes deployment, military support and troop morale. The group performs high energy music from a variety of genres, and their versatility and dynamic stage presence enables them to tell the Air Force story to audience members of all ages.
