SummerFest returns at The War Memorial

GROSSE POINTE FARMS May 23, 2024 – Celebrate summer in metro Detroit’s backyard!

The War Memorial is excited to bring back SummerFest this year at our beautiful lakeside campus. SummerFest 2024 features War Memorial favorite Dave Bennett, party band Cancel Monday, Detroit’s “Queen of the Blues” Thornetta Davis, and Jimmy Buffett tribute band Air Margaritaville.

For many metro Detroit families, summertime means family time on the lake, and at The War Memorial, that means SummerFest! Our annual summer fun series returns this year with free family-friendly concerts on our lakefront lawn.

All SummerFest events are free and open to all. Bring your lawn chair, blanket, or enjoy the concerts from your boat. Concerts are rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will take place in the ballroom of the Fred M. Alger Center at The War Memorial.

New for SummerFest this year is the option to support The War Memorial’s commitment to providing low-cost family-friendly programming by purchasing a VIP ticket for $40. VIP tickets include reserved seating areas on our balcony and near the front of the stage, a private cash bar, and a complimentary beverage.

Concert schedule (all concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.)
July 10: Dave Bennett
July 24: Cancel Monday
August 7: Thornetta Davis
August 21: Air Margaritaville

The War Memorial is located at 32 Lake Shore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms. For more information on SummerFest at The War Memorial and to register, please click here.
