Portraits in the style of Berthe Morisot with Donald Cronkhite
One of the best ways to learn posthumously from a master painter is to paint a “master copy." In this workshop we will study Woman at Her Toilet, 1875-1880, by Berthe Morisot, considered one of the five top Impressionist painters.
Drawing on his deep know of Morisot, Donald will help us get inside the artist’s head and figure out why the artist emphasized one thing over another. Then, we will paint a copy. In doing so, we will learn the steps Morisot took and the techniques she used, lessons we can use in our own work.
Supplies
A $22.50 materials fee is included in the registration and covers all materials needed for the three classes including one 9inx12in canvas.
