Join certified Bob Ross instructor, Ted Simpson for this 3-hour class that will focus on painting seascapes, Bob Ross style. It is the perfect class for beginner artists as well as challenging enough for returning skilled artists. Anyone can paint like Bob Ross, no matter the experience level. Get ready to learn new artistic techniques and spend a fun evening with friends and family.
The class will take place at The War Memorial on August 4th from 6 pm – 9 pm. The cost is $75 per person and all materials are provided.

Panel to gather at The War Memorial for discussion on opioid crisis
Government officials and nonprofit leaders will soon join together for a night of offering “Hope in the Midst of the Opioid Crisis.”
Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m., The War Memorial hosts a special town hall meeting.
“Substance abuse is everywhere,” an online event description reads. It doesn’t discriminate and no community is immune. Come to this special town hall meeting to learn more about the opioid crisis, what’s being done to combat it, and the resources available to those who are struggling.”
Panel speakers include U.S. Attorney Dawn Ison; Orville Greene, a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration; Dean Dauphinais; and Grosse Pointe Woods Department of Public Safety Director John Kosanke.
