“Two Views | Two Shores” Art Exhibit Coming this Fall
A new art exhibit is coming to The War Memorial’s Patriot Gallery this September through early November titled “Two Views | Two Shores.” The exhibit features the work of Alex Gilford, a painter from Michigan and Patrick Steiber, a photographer from Ontario. Their work reminds us of activity past and present along the shores of our lakes and rivers, as well as the fragility of their beauty. The exhibit runs Sept. 18 to Nov. 14.
At 6:30 pm on Thursday, Sept. 28, Steiber and Gilford will give a presentation on their work in The Patriot Gallery. Additionally, Joel Stone, curator emeritus of the Detroit Historical Museum and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum will give the opening talk which is set for September.
