A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
The scary excitement of Halloween comes alive in a new way when the Listeso String Quartet performs the spookiest Halloween inspired music at the historic Redford Theatre under the gentle glow of candlelight.
Candlelight Concert—A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics is set for Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The frightful melodies include: Thriller by Michael Jackson; Funeral March of a Marionette by Charles Gounod; the Beetlejuice theme; The Addams Family theme, the theme from Halloween; Ghostbusters theme; the medley from The Nightmare Before Christmas; and In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg.
Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations like never seen before in Detroit. Tickets are $25 - $54 and can be purchased by clicking here.
Community Trunk-or-Treat planned at The War Memorial
Join us at The War Memorial for a fun-filled afternoon of trunk-or-treating, crafts, cider and donuts, pumpkin decorating, and more. The first-ever Treat The Community Trunk-or-Treat, benefiting The Enriching Children’s Future Scholarship Fund, is set for Sunday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Individuals, families, and businesses are encouraged to register to host a fun, family-friendly trunk. Space is limited so register today. Prizes will be awarded to the best decorated trunks during the event. Registration, which closes Oct. 28, is required for all participants to attend.
The cost is $10 for decorated vehicles. Folks will be asked to supply wrapped candy for a specified number of children. Trunk-or-treaters will pay $5.
