Resource fair added to Vietnam Veterans Day Luncheon
In addition to Vietnam Veterans Day Luncheon at The War Memorial, a veteran’s resource fair has been added to the event.
Several veteran organizations will host a resource table at the lunch on March 28. The lunch is a way to commemorate National Vietnam War Veterans Day, and to express our gratitude and appreciation for their service. March 29 was chosen as National Vietnam War Veterans Day because on March 29, 1973, Military Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV) was disbanded and the last U.S. combat troops departed the Republic of Vietnam.
Doors open for the resource fair at 11 a.m. with lunch served at noon.
