Pewabic House and Garden Show

Join Pewabic Pottery for their annual House and Garden Show celebrating ceramic art and the historical site’s 120 years of art making in Detroit.

Throughout the weekend, you will be able to enjoy and shop Pewabic’s Summer 2023 Collection along with artwork from dozens of ceramic artists from all over North America. There will also be the opportunity to learn about Pewabic’s 120 years of history as you explore the archival collection through their museum exhibition. Enjoy a weekend of history and art, the event is free and open to the public!

Event hours are June 9 from 10 am- 5 pm, June 10 from 10 am- 5 pm and June 11 from 11 am – 4 pm.

Pewabic is one of the oldest operating potteries in the country, located on Detroit’s east side with a mission to enrich the human spirit through clay.

Detroit Zoo Hosts World Oceans Day

On June 10th from 11am – 3pm the Detroit Zoo is hosting World Ocean’s Day. The event will highlight ocean and waterway conservation as well as teach you how to keep waterways clean. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the oceans that cover our earth and connect with nature in an engaging and exciting way!

Throughout 2023, the Detroit Zoo is celebrating and highlighting a new animal or topic every month with celebrations for each event. Spend the day learning more about your favorite animals, participating in hands-on activities and even collecting an animal day passport card from each event!

The event will be held at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak, Michigan and is free with zoo admission.
