Annual Father’s Day car show held at Ford House

Returning for its 37th year this Father’s Day, the Ford House is holding its annual EyesOn Design car show to raise money in support of the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology. This year’s theme is “Design Revolutions”, which celebrates the vehicles that influenced designers and altered the generations of cars in how they look and feel.

Innovative designs will be featured as well as revolutionary modern designs influenced by new electric vehicles.  There will be a full range of cars displayed from full production and limited production to one-off vehicles. Unique to this car show, judging of vehicles is based on professional design criteria overseen by automotive designers.

Annually, the event attracts the world’s leading designers, collectors and fans of all ages. The event takes place on Sunday, June 18th, from 10 am - 4 pm at the Ford House located in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan. Admission to the event is $35 per person for adults and children 10 and under are free with an adult ticket. Active-duty military are free with I.D.

Community and Family

Run Drugs Out of Town this weekend in Fraser

What started as one small group in Macomb County has now grown into an organization with 20+ chapters across Michigan. FAN’s mission is to offer community-based, compassionate, best-practice/evidence-based services to people who have been affected by addiction—this includes individuals with SUD and their families—and to erase the stigma of addiction while instilling compassion and hope.

Join them this Saturday for the annual Run Drugs Out of Town 5K run/walk at Fraser High School. Each year, men, women, and children of all ages come out to support a common cause: to increase awareness of substance use disorder and help raise money to fund the many programs FAN provides to the public at no cost.

The event begins at 9 a.m. Early packet pickup is June 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Fraser High School football field.
