In this 1.5 hour workshop, we will explore some of the best practices to reduce our stress that comes from living in this modern and fast-paced world. Tai Chi is an ancient practice scientifically proven to lower the stress response and activate the relaxation response. The changes can be felt both immediately and cumulatively.
Plant-Based Nutrition for Better Health - NEW CLASS
If you have been curious about plant-based nutrition, it's health benefits, and how you can transition from the standard American diet to a plant-based diet, then this is the class for you! Learn the differences between vegan, vegetarian, and whole-food plant-based nutrition, what foods to add and foods to avoid, the best protein and calcium sources, and how to create a daily meal plan. Instructor will share resources about cookbooks, local restaurants, and other meal planning information. Brochures and recipes will be discussed and sent home with students.

The Cyr wheel is an acrobatic apparatus that consists of a single large ring made of aluminum or steel The performer stands inside the Cyr wheel and grasps its rim, causing it to roll and spin while performing acrobatic moves in and around the rotating wheel. We are pleased to welcome Spinnovation Detroit to The War Memorial to offer Cyr Wheel workshops and classes specifically designed for beginning youth and adult students! This is a fantastic way to have fun, get fit, and discover your inner circus performer!
